eIQnetworks, Inc., a global provider of integrated security, risk and audit management solutions, recently announced the expansion of its management team, naming security and compliance industry veteran John Linkous to the newly created position of IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Evangelist. Reporting directly to CEO Vijay Basani, Linkous will work closely with eIQ’s Global 2000 enterprise customers as well as industry standards bodies to implement security best practices and guide the company’s IT GRC solution strategy.

“We’re seeing first-hand that C-level IT executives are looking for strategic solutions to streamline increasingly complex security and compliance challenges, as evidenced by the dramatic enterprise adoption of SecureVue over the last year,” said Vijay Basani, CEO at eIQnetworks. “John’s expertise in this market will be extremely valuable in continuing to meet our customers’ evolving needs while building on this market momentum.”

Linkous has over 15 years of technology management and consulting experience, specializing in enterprise systems management, information security and regulatory compliance. He has advised global corporations in the healthcare, financial services, aerospace, federal government, technology, education, global food service and communications sectors. His extensive knowledge of security and compliance issues coupled with his ability to articulate these challenges to both business and technical audiences has made him a sought-after author and speaker.

“With the launch of the SecureVue platform, and more recently the addition of the IT GRC audit module, eIQnetworks has firmly established itself as a technology visionary in this rapidly emerging space,” said John Linkous. “I’m looking forward to working on further advancing the platform to proactively meet changing security and compliance requirements.”

Linkous joins eIQ from NSC, Inc., an international security and compliance consulting firm, where, as vice president of operations, he was responsible for management of NSC’s Common Compliance Framework (CCF) product line as well as the company’s security and compliance services portfolio. Previously, he was a co-founder and partner of a national IT consulting firm; and prior to that he was CIO of one of the nation’s largest privately-held public relations firms. He began his career as an award-winning consultant at NASA, where he was the recipient of Goddard Space Flight Center’s individual “Contractor of the Year” award in 1994.

eIQnetworks, Inc., a leader in integrated security, risk and audit management, enables enterprise, government and MSSP customers to effectively meet security and compliance challenges through a unified framework.
