King & Spalding LLP, a leading international law firm, announced today that P. Kevin Trautner, a lawyer with substantial expertise in corporate finance and other corporate transactions, has joined King & Spalding's Houston office as partner. Trautner will practice in the firm's corporate finance practice group, where he will represent issuers and underwriters in securities offerings and provide counsel to clients on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance issues. "Our Houston office is continuing to grow its domestic transactions practice group to complement our international transactions practice, and bringing Kevin on is an important part of our strategy," said Randolph C. Coley, managing partner of King & Spalding's Houston office. "Kevin's substantial experience representing clients in a wide variety of corporate finance transactions will help us serve growing client demand for this type of work." Trautner has represented energy, chemical, biotechnology and other companies in a variety of securities offerings, as well in mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance issues. He joins the firm from Bracewell & Patterson, L.L.P, where he was a partner. He earned his B.S. from the University of Notre Dame, his M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
